difference between jaws and jbosscmp-jdbc

Hello!

Does anyone knows the difference between the jaws.xml and jbosscmp-jdbc.xml in JBoss3? I have everything working setting up defaultjbosscmp-jdbc.xml but haven't touch defaultjaws.xml
Does defaultjbosscmp-jdbc.cml override defaultjaws.xml?
