How do i use arquillian persistence extension in Client mode?

Datasource is defined in server configuration file.(In Jboss AS7 either in standalone.xml or domain.xml)

So if I use client mode , I can not get the datasource(Since testcases will get executed in other VM not inside the server)

If there is anyway to specify jdbc url instead of datasource name in arquillian.xml file.

<property name="defaultDataSource">java:jboss/datasources/TestDS</property>

instead of this can i use

<property name="defaultJDBC">jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/testdb</property>

<property name="userName">testuser</property>

<property nam"password">testpassword</property>

like the above.

Or any other way to use arquillian-persistence extension in Client Mode?

What exactly would you like to test from the client side which requires access to the data source? Client-mode usage is a bit limited at this moment, but there is a workaround which might solve your problem https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ARQ-1077

I need to test my Restful Services from the Client Side.

And I would like to do database fixtures and Matching data sets for every Tests using persistence Extension.

Did the link I posted above helped you? I think for the use case you have described Arquillian Warp approach might help, but I need to have a look how to leverage that.

That workaround doesn't work for me. So, considering that we cannot test with APE, what are the best practices for web service tests in Arquillian?

Basically, what should web service tests aggregate in terms of guarantee?
