rich:autocomplete and cachedAjax mode

Hi,

The mode cachedAjax is working fine on the RichFaces Showcase demo site. With firebug I notice that once the prefix is entered a  request is made to the server and then as we complete typing, the resolution is made on the client side.

The problem is that I can't make it work on my own application, it systematically calls the server as we add more characters to the prefix....basically the cachedAjax mode is working exactly as the Ajax mode for me.. I wonder if I have something to configure somewhere.... Anybody experiencing the same issue? any pointer is welcome. Thanks, (env RF 4.2.0.CR1 JBAS 7.1.1)

Hi,

I use Rich Faces v. 4.2.3.Final, but I have the same symptoms like Franck.

Is there some bug in rich faces, Do the rich faces dev team know about this problem ?

I was looking for similar issue and found none.

Firstly, could you please test your code with the latest stable release - 4.3.1.Final ?

Then could you please file an issue in https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RF

with all the description from here.
