JBoss EAP 6.1 IDE Support

Hi Guys,

Is it just me or it is not possible to add JBoss EAP 6.1 Alpha adapter to pure (i.e. not JBoss Developer's) Eclipse 4.2?

If I try to add it it says that

The home directory does not exist or is missing a required file or folder: modules\org\jboss\as\server\main

which is correct because we have now modules\system\layers\base\org\.....

(a dirty hack is to copy / link the new location of modules to the old one Eclipse is expected; needless to say - I don't like this solution a bit)

The same problem is for Intellij IDEA 12 (different message but the result is the same).

If I use JBoss Developer Studio 7 Alpha it works fine however its built on an old Eclipse.

Do you have any plans (and if so, what would be the time frame) for supporting EAP 6.1 in Eclipse 4.2 or IDEA 12?

Which plugin were/are you using for integrating JBoss AS into Eclipse?

That's great to hear - I will check the update for IDEA in home.

And if it comes to Eclipse I'm using JBossAS Tools as I suppose it containts JBoss adapters - its 2.4.0.Final-v20121205-2029-B41.

I also use JBoss Tools (3.4.0-Final).

No updates were found for those plugins at the point of writing this.

Damn Jaikirian, coutless time you've helped me and this is one more!

After updating JBoss Tools with the given link (https://community.jboss.org/en/tools/blog/2013/03/12/lets-go-to-kepler) I was able to successfully add EAP 6.1 adapter to my existing Eclipse installation.

hi Jaikiran, I got the same problem with my JBDS 5.0.2.GA and EAP 6.1.

I thought the compatibility should not be a problem.

I tried to used update site kepler, but it seem only work with JBDS 5.0.0.
