REST ful webservices GET VS POST VS PUT VS DELETE

Hi All,

Can someone please guide me as to when shall we use which funcion in REST ful webservice i.e.

ig I am creating a session then shall I use GET/PUT/POST... please see there is no DB operation involved.

Similarly while invalidating a session does the operation be GET/Delete?

please share your views on this.

Sessions are not very REST:ish (and don't have anything to do with GET/DELETE)
