Seam (2/3) still being developed?

Pardon the newby depth of my query, but I was considering doing my first project in Seam, and noted a 'disturbance in the force' to the effect that Seam 3 would no longer be developed.

Does this apply in any way to v2.x? Or will that continue on? Would REALLY hate to build atop of sand :-(

Seam 3 is dead now.

Seam 2 is still maintained and is supported Redhat product.
