1. Re: Configuring discovery with core : can the defined group adress arbitrary ?
ataylor Apr 19, 2013 10:23 AM (in response to loloof64)The code snippet of this section uses an hard-coded group adress.
But can this group adress be taken arbitrary ? Or must I compute it with an external tool ?
can you explain what you actually mean?

loloof64 Apr 19, 2013 10:47 AM (in response to ataylor)Can I take the group address that I want ? (eg. 23.123.45.56)
As I want to build a serverless P2P application.
(Apologizes, I have a very little level and experience in networking : maybe i am too ambitious for my low level and little skill).

ataylor Apr 19, 2013 10:48 AM (in response to loloof64)you can use any address that is a valid multicast address, google will tell you what the reange is (not 23.123.45.56 btw)

loloof64 Apr 19, 2013 11:19 AM (in response to ataylor)Thank you
After having searched over Google, it seems that i can use
- into 224.1.0.0 to 224.2.255.255
- or into 224.5.0.0 to 233.251.255.255
I hope that I have made no mistake. (source : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multicast_address#AD-HOC_block)
