disable http methods on jboss 7

anyone knows how to disable http methods such as put, delete on the jboss web server 7.x? I know there is an easy way to accomplish this by modifying the web app web.xml; however, I want to do this on the server side(standalone.xml)?

There is currently very little global configuration like that for the web subsystem, perhaps things will be more flexible with Undertow, I recall filing a similar JIRA myself (general global application templates)
