1. Re: Release of Screen Recorder extension
lfryc Apr 23, 2013 6:27 AM (in response to pmensik)Great job, Petr.
I wonder if we should
- move this extension as part of another extension (e.g. Drone)
- or keep it separated
- move it to the Arquillian repository (currently under JBoss QA)
----
For (1) I would say this extension is only usable for functional UI testing, which is exactly what Drone does.

2. Re: Release of Screen Recorder extension
aslak Apr 23, 2013 8:36 AM (in response to lfryc)Demoed this at DevoxxUK, great stuff. Found some problems using it with Spock/Thucydides, but mostly around those not being 100% integrated and following the same lifecycles as junit/testng.
+1 for moving it to the Arquillian Org.
? to moving it under Drone. Drone is really an extension for lifecycle mangement of 'browsers', not a general 'what ever functional testing related'. Tho I could forsee ScreenRecorder hooking in to some Drone SPI's. Karel?

kpiwko Apr 24, 2013 2:58 AM (in response to aslak)+1 for moving to arquillian.org
+1 for not making this a part of Drone. I can only think of making this supported out of the box with Drone, that is Drone can use this to record it's progress out of the box.
However, the extension could be used to record native tests, for instance, so no reason to keep it bound with Drone.

5. Re: Release of Screen Recorder extension
pmensik Apr 25, 2013 4:34 AM (in response to aslak)Yes, I definitely agree with you and Karel, there is no reason to have it inside Drone. So let me know where you will be ready for release, thanks.

6. Re: Release of Screen Recorder extension
aslak May 2, 2013 3:01 PM (in response to pmensik)I've forked the repo to arquillian/arquillian-extension-screenrecorder and added a push/pull team.
https://github.com/arquillian/arquillian-extension-screenrecorder
The team currently only consist of
papousek
for some odd reason I can't add pmensik ??

7. Re: Release of Screen Recorder extension
lfryc Jun 5, 2013 7:10 AM (in response to aslak)-1 forking the repo
We should rather move the arquillian-extension-screenrecorder to the arquillian repo.
Would anyone object to remove the forged repo and transfer /qa repo 's ownership to the /arquillian organization?
The forks has some really bad features - e.g. the commits contributed to them does not count as contributions:
