RF4 rich:popupPanel x domElementAttachment="parent"

Hi,

Why is rich:popupPanel repositioned after second click when we use domElementAttachment="parent" ?

Look at http://richfaces-showcase.appspot.com/richfaces/component-sample.jsf?demo=dataTable&sample=dataTableEdit&skin=blueSky that first click on "edit button" shows the popupPanel centered, and from second click the popupPanel is repositioned.

I tested with Firefox6 and Chrome14.

This is a bug. Is it confined to the showcase? Or are you notciing it in your applications as well?

My webapp has the same behaviour. Then, I tried Showcase to see if only my app was wrong.

In the meantime you could look into the RichFaces.ui.PopupPanel.prototype clientside api, especially into the 'show', 'setLeft', 'setTop' or calculateXYZ functions to create some sort of workaround.

Another user (Geert Bergman) submitted a workaround that worked fine for me, using a JS function fixCenter in popupPanel onbeforeshow event.
