Upgrade to Tomcat version 7.0.x

I use Jboss version 4.2.3 and the corresponding Tomcat version 6.0.13. I want to upgrade the Tomcat version in my server to version 7.0.x because of a security vulnerablity.

Is it possible to upgrade the Tomcat version of the server alone, without upgrading the Jboss version? If yes could you kindly let me know the steps for the same.

In fact you have to use jbossweb to the latest corresponding source version http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbossweb/branches/JBOSSWEB_2_0_0_GA_CP/
