1. Re: Step by step guide to setting up JBOSS 7 cluster on EC2 ???
rhusar May 15, 2013 1:33 PM (in response to moco)What is the problem?
Do the servers find each other (look for the log line saying there are 2 members)?
Did you change the JGroups stack to use TCP?

2. Re: Step by step guide to setting up JBOSS 7 cluster on EC2 ???
moco May 22, 2013 10:48 AM (in response to rhusar)We actually need to set this up in a domain model, within a vpc. THe service is likely to need to use an ELB infront of the nodes, and s3 (s3_ping) as the persistance management.
As another complication, autoscaling is required...
I have the domain ctrl up and running and applications get deployed to other nodes within the various server groups, but am stuck with the s3_ping and autoscaling considerations.. . programtically updating the domain.xml / host.xml
Any assistance greatfuly received.

rhusar May 22, 2013 11:12 AM (in response to moco)Yes, S3_PING is the JGroups discovery protocol to be used in CR2 cloud. You will need to provide it with necessary configuration, here is a quick help: https://community.jboss.org/wiki/JGroupsS3PING just make sure you use the AS7 format for configuring JGroups.
When it comes to autoscaling and domain, you should be just able to use a CLI script to add the host you need. Unfortunately, I dont think there is a quick cook-book yet.
