you may contact Red Hat sales for that, see here.
Maybe they can offer you an option.

I doubt that. See Jason Greens comment from this source on self building and supporting EAP (choice 3. below):
Essentially we give you three choices:
1. Stick with community - You get always get the latest and greatest cutting edge stuff (including experimental features), but you have to get support from the community and update more frequently since the community really only focuses on the latest major + minor version.
2. Buy an EAP subscription - You get all of the features above, which lead to minimizing the amount of work you need to spend on app server maintenance and support.
3. Self build and support EAP - You get some of the benefits of the enterprise releases (e.g. patches to older major versions and so on), but you have to invest time and energy to build and maintain/verify your app server distribution bits.
The are more and more contradictions comming up with every new post about using EAP in production without subscription. It would be helpful if the the FAQ at http://www.jboss.org/jbossas/faq could clarify under which circumstances it is allowed to build and use EAP in production.
I value the subscription and inherently recommend it to our customers but if they are either not able or willing to follow my advice i would like to offer them a reliable alternative by building EAP themselfes. So even if i'm aware that Red Hat might not like to promote the self build option due to understandable reasons i would appreciate if the following question (i allready asked at another place) could be answered:
Can i take the EAP 6.1.0.Beta sources and the maven repository from the locations [1] and [2], build an EAP binary from that and use it it internally for production usage without further modifications (like removing red hat branding/trademarks)?

There is a lot confusion over this topic. I want clear cut answer, not only for me, but for other people that are wondering about the same issue - no better way than asking in public.

I am not interested in using beta software in production (nobody sane is). I WANT subscription but current subscription model is simply out of reach for my company. I don't want to make backroom deals with Red Hat sales. I want everything to be crystal clear and public so I can be confident about making my choice.
IMHO the only reason Red Hat offers Self Subscription for RHEL is competition from CentOS and other clones that essentially offer the same as Self Subscription. Since there is no such community maintained clone of EAP there is no need for Red Hat to compete here.
If there is no cheap way of using stable EAP6 in production then I will simply move my company to another application server. It will not be a lot of pain since EAP6 is complete rewrite and I would have to make migration efforts anyway.

I refered to EAP 6.1.0.Beta1 since it is the most recent EAP version but the question remains the same if you replace 6.1.0.Beta1 by the most recent final EAP Version 6.0.1 (or any other version):
Can i take the EAP 6.0.1 sources and the maven repository from the locations [1] and [2], build an EAP binary from that and use it it internally for production usage without further modifications (like removing red hat branding/trademarks)?

jaikiran May 17, 2013 6:46 AM (in response to r.reimann)r.reimann, please create a separate thread to discuss your question(s). The original question in this thread has been answered. One of the reasons why there's so much confusion in similar threads is because everyone just keeps cramming in their questions into the same thread.

Point taken i opened a new thread. But IMHO the primary reasons for the confusion are contradicting answers, missing information in the FAQ and the different constraints for EAP 6.1.0.Alpha1 vs. 6.1.0.Beta1.

I doubt that. See Jason Greens comment from this source on self building and supporting EAP (choice 3. below):
Regarding "contradictions", when we say "EAP" in context of support, we mean the EAP bits on the customer portal or similar channels. Bulding an app server from EAP sources is a different story... which is exactly what you are asking in the other thread, so lets continue there.
