Remote execution of commands on mainframe

Hi,

I am evaluating the possibility of remote execution of commands on a z/OS mainframe from either JBoss A-MQ or JBoss Fuse MQ or JBoss Enterprise MRG. There is no CICS Tx Gateway setup though CICS sockets are available. We dont have other options like IMS or VSAM etc..

It would help if I can get some direction/advice on this.

Hi,

I haven't tried it myself, however, the camel-mina component supports tcp connectivity which can then connect to a mainframe. See http://camel.apache.org/walk-through-another-example.html as an example.  If you have any underlying DB2 tables, you may be able to use camel-jdbc component to help bridge the gap as well.
