bleathem May 27, 2013 7:30 PM (in response to zenig)Can you try using the SessionScope, just to see if that fixes it?

6. Re: DataScroller inside a Dynamic UI:Include
zenig May 27, 2013 8:44 PM (in response to zenig)I am using JBoss AS 7.1.1.FINAL out-of-the-box; Mojarra JSF 2.1.7 I believe. Seam 2.3.0 and Richfaces 4.3.1.FINAL.
It seems the datascroller just doesn't like to be dynamically included! How can I help debug further? I am not sure how to start. I would really like to get this fixed.

7. Re: DataScroller inside a Dynamic UI:Include
bleathem May 27, 2013 8:46 PM (in response to zenig)Can you try with JBoss EAP? You'll have to sign the $0 developer license agreement, but it'll get you a much newer version of Mojarra. IIRC, some fixes with ui:include have been addressed since 2.1.7.

8. Re: DataScroller inside a Dynamic UI:Include
ibenjes Jun 3, 2013 6:18 AM (in response to zenig)Hi Shawn,
are you sure it is caused by a ui:include? I have the same problem in that the datascroller isn't working in a project that I migrate from Seam 2.2+RF 3.3 to Seam 2.3 + RF 4.2.3 on JBoss 7.1
(see https://community.jboss.org/thread/228734?tstart=0)
I have managed to get the datascroller working in an ui:include but I have found that some 'old (not migrated?)' a:status which showed a modal (now popupPanel) with a spinner stopped the datascroller from working. Maybe something fails in the onstart method of the a:status component. I noticed once on a test where I included the datascroller with a ui:include and using for="id" that the first page change worked but after that I got javascript errors saying that Richfaces cannot be resolved. So it looks like after the reRender the Richfaces Javascript API wasn't available anymore.
Are you migrating from RF3? If so, there might be other stuff on the page that stops it from working.
If you find any other issues that cause it to no work, please let me (us) know.

zenig Jun 7, 2013 2:55 PM (in response to ibenjes)Immo,
I am not migrating from an older version of Richfaces. I narrowed down the issue that a static include works, but a dynamic one doesn't. There isn't any JavaScript errors in the console. I am going to try EAP but I need to find the time to test it!
