forge command line don't react on user input

Hi guys,

im checking out forge for my company. Most of the things are working fine , if I run forge in eclipse! I try to install the standalone forge console. After I start it, there is no reaction on any user input.

I try it on ubuntu and windows, with the 2.0.0.Apha4 and 1.3.0.Final version. I set up all needed things, Paths, JAVA_HOME, ...

Have someone a idee?

At the moment I'm a bit lost ;-)

Hi bolli,

For the time being, Forge 2.0.0.Alpha4 does not have a shell, so it only executes inside Eclipse (with CTRL+5). We recommend you to use 1.3.0.Final meanwhile, which has some proper documentation.

Hum, you should not have any issue with 1.3.0.Final. Are you getting any errors ? Which OS are you using ?

I try it in a ubuntu and a windows VM. Set in both env. the JAVA_HOME,... and on both env. I have the sun jdk7 installed.

If you overwrote the Forge 2 installation with Forge 1.3.0, you should delete that directory entirely before installing Forge 1.3.0.

thx for the help. I just restart my vm and everything was fine (to be sure i drop the .froge folder also).

You plan a command line interface in froge2 ?

Yes, that is on our Roadmap. We plan to support Eclipse, Netbeans, IntelliJ IDEA and Shell.
