Problem with <h:graphicImage /> tag

Hi there,

I am using rich faces to project some screens and i got a problem with this tag.

I am following the official documentation and the show case for a particular one, and this is not working:

<rich:panel header="Banner">

          Espaço logo abaixo da barra de títulos

          <h:graphicImage value="rf.png" style="float:right" alt="rf" width="20px" height="20px"/>

          Devia ter uma imagem aqui... xxx

          </rich:panel>

The image tag does not work at all, just the texts.It is like the tag is not there.  Chrome shows me the tag in the output, but there is no image. Also, it shows me the image is 0px x 0px, so i tried to use width and height atributes like in regular html, but nothing changes.

I also could not find the specific docs for this tag. Maybe someone here has a link or something..?

Hello Paulo,

are you sure that the value attribute points to the resource ? Is your rf.png in the root of the deployed .war ? Are you not getting 404 error on Chrome console ? Otherwise it has to work.

thanks for the links, i checked the docs on it, seems to be right.

the .png file is in the same folder my xhtml. that´s why there is no long path. Me and a friend here tried some things and seems like the graphic tag is not generating the proper img tag. The output i meant before is a <h:graphic tag. I ´ll look into that.

It worked, finally.

The problem was with rich configuration itself, not just the tag. The tag panel also was not working.

I just put an index.html for initial page and linked an xhml and made the propper changes in the web.xml.

Now the right html output is generated.
