While starting JBoss 3.03, I noticed some warnings for the CMPState EJB.
They look like this:
Bean : CMPState
Method : public abstract Object getAttribute(String) throws RemoteException
Section: 9.2.7
Warning: All the exceptions defined in the throws clause of a matching method in the entity bean's class must be defined in the throws clause of the method of the remote interface.
So far, I haven't noticed any negative effects from the warnings. Should a bug be created on sf.net?
I excerpted the relevant parts of the server log and have attached them.
ltr, Shy
If JBoss logs a warning then there is some spec incompatibility but it can proceed. AFAIK, in later version the verifier is more strict and won't deploy a bean not compatible with the spec even if JBoss could proceed.
