    Customize SQL Generation

    netchhe

I am aware that one can customize the behaviour of the SQL execution, specially in the area of data loading (eager, lazy and read-ahead). Also i am aware that the generation of the ddl can be customized to a certain extent. Also i seen that type mapping can be customized.
I have'nt found any information on the configuration of how the generation of the sql, which is executed at runtime can be influenced. Am i missing something? Is there a way to configure/customize the way CMP 2.0 of JBoss generates SQL?
I am aware that this is not easiest undertaking, basically having to mediate between the EJB 2.0 specification and the JDBC specification.

Any information or thoughts are helpful.
