2. Re: Running JBoss AS7 management console on port 21
rm1 Jun 19, 2013 3:02 AM (in response to sfcoy)The server is Windows Server 2003 R2. JBoss is 7.1.3 or 7.2.0 - doesn't make any difference.

3. Re: Running JBoss AS7 management console on port 21
sfcoy Jun 19, 2013 3:21 AM (in response to rm1)Thinking about it a little more, port 21 is the standard FTP port. It seems possible that your browsers are attempting to perform FTP transfers, despite the "http://" in the URL.

4. Re: Running JBoss AS7 management console on port 21
rm1 Jun 19, 2013 4:01 AM (in response to sfcoy)Thanks for the answer. I discovered that port 22 is also open, and that works. So I guess you're right that the browsers are basing the protocol on the port number when it comes to file transfers instead of using http.

5. Re: Running JBoss AS7 management console on port 21
erasmomarciano Jun 19, 2013 5:39 AM (in response to rm1)Usually the port 22 is reserved for SSH SERVER
I suggest to change port and to use a port upper then 1024
