    EAP 6.1.0: xa-datasource, url-delimiter ignored

Regarding this bug (appears in two different tracking systems):

https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBPAPP6-1669, which is migrated to: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=901221

The issue says a fix is deferred until EAP 7.  I've looked for a road map of eap 7 and have not found one, so I assume its availability date is not known publicly, which is ok, but the fix has no definite availability.   This feature has worked in previous releases.  If this feature is so little used that it can drop in priority to this extent, what alternatives are employed successfully instead?

For example, the jdbc driver could have failover ability.  Is anyone using mysql's jdbc driver for failover in jboss?  Does it work ok?

Is the workaround using 'byteman' as described in the issues above working for anyone?

      Thanks,

      John
