WSDL reference from bean component

So, while I wait for some-one to answer my other question, I thought I'd throw in another one I have been having issues with.

Same application, we need to refernce a webservice provided by another system. Just using the wsdl and creating the refernces based on that, how do I use that webservice? Do I need to generate the stubs and use that porttype from that, or is there some magic switchyard way of getting hold of a implmentation?

Hi,

Now that you asked, we lack a Bean reference to SOAP sample. Ideally you create a Java Interface and use that as a reference inside the Bean. This Interface should be a mapper for the WSDL input/output/fault operations. Here is reference to another thread where a simple HTTP reference is used. This should give you more insights.

One more question. This interface, is their a tool to generate it for me using the WSDL, or should I do it by hand? Would the same thing go for the JCA interface?

Hey Gerhard,

If you're using the latest 1.0 tooling, there is a feature to generate the required Java files: Java Files from WSDL.  This should be available in the context menu on the reference (or any service/reference with a WSDL interface).

I tried the rightclick op tion on the wsdl file, there I found Webservices - Generate Java Bean skeleton, is that what you meant? If that is the case, using the top down method, it didn't do anything.

Click on the service or reference in the SwitchYard editor.  You may also find this in the New... menu, in the SwitchYard category.

I actually though of that, but when I do that on the refernce there is no "New" in the menu item:

I'm guessing you're using an older version of the tooling.  This feature was added in 1.0, https://issues.jboss.org/browse/SWITCHYARD-966.
