JBoss shuts down, server.log is so big that it cannot be opened.

I installed an ear file on Jboss7 and Jboss6. It happens that the server shuts down, and I can't find out why. Is it possible to create something like heapdump or log for outofMemory or JVM crashs? server.log cannot be opened.

try using tail -n 1000 server.log

if you are on linux, that will show you last 1000 lines of log.

otherwise please configure rotating server.log file so it rotates daily or based on size, this way your server.log will be easier to open.

if you are on windows, try using mtail http://ophilipp.free.fr/op_tail.htm
