    Clustering parameters and "all" profile

    mataratones

We are struggling to get a simple cluster with two nodes working.  I searched the "all" profile (which we are using) for parameters with the word "cluster" in them, and I found some where it was turned off.  For example, jboss-service.xml has a parameter "SelectHiSql" commented out with the note, "Uncomment to make it cluster-safe."  I thought the "all" profile was set up for clustering?  Is there a list of other files with parameters that we need to change to make our deployment cluster safe?

          I don't understand the question.

If you use a fresh unzipped JBoss (BTW which version do you use) you need to start two instances (run.sh -c all) in the same network and should see in the server.log a message that the cluster has "No of members #".

Only if that work you have a cluster.

And what you mean by "... to make our deployment cluster safe?"

We have a cluster, it works sporadically, but it generates a lot of errors.  We are trying to figure out the source of those errors, and I noticed that some of the parameters in the profile we are using (which is "all") do *not* appear to be set for clustering, and wondered if that could be part of the problem.  For example, the jboss-service.xml file that I cited above includes a parameter with the note, "Uncomment to make it cluster-safe."  What does that mean?  I'm not sure, but if we are using a cluster, it seems like it ought to be uncommented.

            We are using SOA-P 5.3.0.
