Is jbossesb compatible with wildfly?

Hello,

I've been trying to set up an installation with wildFly, jbossesb and riftsaw. I have not used JBOSS before.

My major interest is in getting the BPEL working but I'd like to get the ESB up there as well.

However, when I try install jbossesb-4.12 into Wildfly-8.0.0.0.Alpha2 I get the error message:

BUILD FAILED
/opt/wildfly/jbossesb-4.12/install/build.xml:590: /opt/wildfly/wildfly-8.0.0.Alpha2/server/default/lib not found.

Is Wildfly compatible with jbossesb and riftsaw?

Hey and welcome to forums!

As far as i know jbossesb is not ready to be run on AS7+ (this includes wildfly)

There is new ESB project called SwitchYard going on that is AS7+ compatible, take a look at http://www.jboss.org/switchyard

In any case I would recommend asking this on jbossesb forum, as they would know more about this

What Tomaz said is correct - JBoss ESB is not compatible with WildFly.     You'll want to use JBoss AS 5.1.0.GA or JBoss AS 6.1.0.Final as those are the versions of ESB that have been tested.      If you are trying to use Riftsaw and JBoss ESB, I think you want to follow the Riftsaw installation instructions :

SwitchYard is another option - SwitchYard 1.0 has just been released and includes a BPEL component.      Read up on the future of Riftsaw and SwitchYard here :

Thank you Tomaz and Tom for these. I found them very helpful. I was planning to revert back to JBoss AS 5.1.10.GA anyway as that was the only thing the Riftsaw documentation definately mentions. And I did that and was able to install both JBossESB and Riftsaw.

It's up and running, although strangely displays the WildFly welcom page on localhost:8080.
