Version 7.1.1.Final compared to 7.2.0.Final

Hi,

My customer is using a JBoss 7.1.1.Final version on some of the production servers nodes since september 2012.

We are currently rolling it out on other server nodes which are migrated from 5.1.0.GA to AS 7.

The customer is not willing to buy a subscription for EAP 6.1 (which might have been a simpler and safer way).

Therefore we are thinking to either upgrade the server version from 7.1.1.Final to 7.2.0.Final (equivalent to EAP 6.1.0 Alpha) or to stick to version 7.1.1.Final.

I have looked at the release notes of the 6.1.0.Alpha, but it seems to be the same document for the 6.1.0.Final, so I can't be sure about the difference between the two versions.

Do you have any advice about this choice ?

Is the 7.2.0.Final "hardened" compared to the 7.1.1.Final ?

7.2.0 (EAP6.1.0.Alpha) will have additional features and bugfixes.

From my perspective it would be better to use the newer version.

I think it will be easier to move the 7.1.1 application to 7.2, but I would recommend to test the application with the server version.
