[jBPM 5.4] How to set-up my own service repository ?

Hello,

I have installed a Drools Guvnor 5.5 and a jBPM 5.4.

I don't have a developer profile.

I'm trying to set-up a service repository.

I've read jBPM User Guide §14.3.2 to find information to set-up a service repository with a work item definition.

I've found information at : http://kverlaen.blogspot.fr/2011/10/introducing-service-repository.html

I've tried to connect to this repo without success : http://people.redhat.com/kverlaen/repository/ but a failed to access message was displayed.

I got the same message for an url of a server that is known by the one with jBPM installed.

Would you mind to help me in providing detailed examples of files and directories that have to be created to set-up my own service repository ?

David, the service repository mentioned above is still present there and seems to work as expected. I had no issues to connect to it, could you check if there are not network/firewall related issues on your end?

To see the structure of the repository just go to it with web browser and examine the content. It is fairly simple:

- there is index.conf file that includes all the folder names in the root of the repository

- then every service should have at least work item definition file (*.wid file)

- additionally it can define icon and index.html page that acts as a guide

and that should be all.

Thank you very much for your answer.

There is perhaps an issue on firewall side, so I copied the file locally on my server.

When looking at repositories structure, only Google calendar matches what you explained.

I don't understand how is the structure behind (for Twitter by example) when a welcome page is displayed (is it hidden ?)

So, I can see only this service node after coying its elements on a directory of the server I work on.

I succeeded in creating an other with similar structure, but

when double clicking on a line of service nodes displayed (within jBPM Designer) I get an error message 'Failed to install the repository assets'.

We succeed in importing the items into Eclipse environment, but not into Guvnor.

So, is it possible for you to send me a complete example of service node with its repository (sub repositories if necessary) contening all the files (index.conf, Directory : .wid, .gif, default handler : file and location, documentation, dependancies : file(s) and location, please ?

try fetching the content of the repository with different tool like wget or so so it will not get parsed automatically when there is index.html page that then hides the rest of the files.

I've tryed 2 tools without success.

A colleague of mine told me that our company security policy doesn't let us the possibility to fetch a web site.

If ever you thought about another way, please let me know.

David, atached repository dump so you can simply extract it on your computer and refer to it via local path.

Thanks a lot, again.

I've put the extracted files and repertories on a server.

With the one I play with Guvnor 5.5 - jBPM 5.4, I succeed in displaying the content of such service repository and importing the FTP item (for other items the internal structure is missing a .wid file).

After some work about declaration in package assets, I had it displayed in the shape repository panel under service tasks and added it in a BPMN2 process.

Now I Will look at work item handler interface definition.
