UndefinedMethodException after updating to 2.4.0.CR1

Hi all,

i've updated one of our projects to the 2.4.0.CR1 version and got the following exception while building the project:

org.jboss.errai.codegen.exception.UndefinedMethodException: undefined method: subscribe(java.lang.String, com.test.hps.identity.management.frontend.server.services.BusinessPartnerService); in class: org.jboss.errai.bus.client.api.messaging.MessageBus

the the above-mentioned service looks like this:

I do not quite understand why he expects this method.

I had a simular problem this moring could you make sure that errai-codegen is up to date?

I'm using 2.4.0.CR1 which was downloaded by maven today.

Hi David,

Looking at the log you attached, I see that errai-ioc (its ServiceCodeDecorator) processes your server-side service class (BusinessPartnerService). This should not be the case. The code decorator is for client-side service support. The error message isn't good but that's the reason. So, the question is, why is your *.server.services.BusinessPartnerService visible on the client? Did you maybe configure the source path in your gwt.xml?

What does CR1 mean btw? Is that a stable release?

Hi Chris,

CR1 is candidate release 1 as we are working towards the final 2.4.0 release. So yes it is very stable and only small things could have slipped in. I thought that something had gone wrong with your download as I had simular problems when my errai-codegen was not up to date.
