Null while reading CLOB

hai friends,

I have a table with a CLOB column.
And i was able to store a simple data into it("This is a CLOB").
But when i read data from it i always get null.
can anybody help me why it happens.

hai,
i got the answer by goint the thru the discusiions in the group. i changed

<jdbc-type>VARCHAR</jdbc-type>
<sql-type>CLOB</sql-type>

to

<jdbc-type>CLOB</jdbc-type>
<sql-type>CLOB</sql-type> in jbossjdbc-cmp.xml file

it worked fine.
