JBoss 4.2.2 GA facing bug JBTM-444

      Hi All,

We are facing a huge surge in jvm memory utilization due to the bug JBTM-444. The bug has been resolved in next versions of JBoss. However, we are using 4.2.2 as of now and need to fix it in same version. We are looking for an upgrade which might take longer time. For a quick solution, what can be done?

The link for the bug is https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBTM-444

As you use the community version you might use the sources and apply the patch attached to the JBTM-444 and compile it.

Other option is to use the 4.2.3 library in your 4.2.2 installation, but I'm not sure whether this will work correct.

With an EAP version you'll have the chance to get that fixed in your version depend on the subscription and product lifecycle, that is the most important reason to have a subscription for production. But in your case I understand that this is not an option right now as this will also have the need to change the installation.

how to compile the patch that is attached? I do not have the source and dependent libraries with me. I'll search for it but if you can point me to right direction, it will be helpful

I undestand that I am using community version, but do I still need to get any sort of license related text to be put in the jar? I am not very sure of the legal aspects
