JBoss 7.1.3 and EJB client compatibility

Hi.

I'm using JBoss 7.1.3 with the "bundled" ejb client (1.0.2) to perform remote invocations. I was searching for a timeout feature that was implemented in 1.0.6:

Now my question is, can I simply use 1.0.6 in favour of 1.0.2 and can expect everything to work as before ?

I tried it with a little testcase but I can't say for sure, that everything else will work.

Is there something like a client/server compatibility matrix?

Yes, you can be assured. We have been putting efforts to keep it backward compatibility to whatever possible extent.
