1. Re: Application level logging using log4j in MDB(.ear)
jamezp Sep 30, 2013 12:53 PM (in response to kparasam)What version of JBoss AS? Versions newer than 7.1.1 (built from tags or EAP versions) have per-deployment logging enabled which could configure logging for you if you include a log4j.properties.

jamezp Sep 30, 2013 1:00 PM (in response to kparasam)Okay, then you need to exclude the implicit log4j dependency the server adds and include log4j in your deployment, How To - JBoss AS 7.1 - Project Documentation Editor.

4. Re: Application level logging using log4j in MDB(.ear)
kparasam Sep 30, 2013 1:21 PM (in response to jamezp)Thanks for the reply. I'm getting some error when I used the jboss-deployment-structure.xml.
Caused by: javax.xml.stream.XMLStreamException: ParseError at [row,col]:[2,1]
[Server:server-two] Message: Unexpected element '{urn:jboss:deployment-structure:1.2}jboss-deployment-structure'
I've the log4j.properties and log4j.jar in lib(of .ear). And, is there a way that I can read the properties file from file system rather than packaging in the .ear, since its more configurable ? Thanks !

jamezp Oct 4, 2013 11:32 AM (in response to kparasam)That seems rather odd. Where are you putting the jboss-deployment-structure.xml?

kparasam Oct 7, 2013 2:14 PM (in response to jamezp)I got it to work. I had missed some tags in the jboss-deployment-structure.xml. Thanks for the posts.
