1. Re: How can I monitor REST service with RHQ
tsegismont Oct 11, 2013 3:56 AM (in response to huchangchun)Hi,
With the netservices plugin you cant monitor HTTP endpoints. You'll get availability reports, connection time and read time metrics. There is currently no option to send POST/PUT/DELETE requests, only HEAD and GET methods are supported. We are open to contributions

mazz Oct 11, 2013 7:57 AM (in response to tsegismont)I blogged about that netservices plugin last year - this might be helpful : http://management-platform.blogspot.com/2012/11/monitoring-ip-endpoints-via-rhq.html
Note that Thomas updated that plugin after I submitted that blog - so my plea at the end of that blog to ask someone to fix it up was answered by Thomas )

huchangchun Oct 13, 2013 10:42 PM (in response to tsegismont)We would like to get the performance metric of our REST service, such as number of requests it processed, max processing time, min processing time, average processing time. Since we can such metrics of web service, I thought we could get such metrics of REST service too. It seems wrong now. Do you have any other suggestion? Many Thanks.
