Yes, I would like to be able to download copies of deployed ears, wars, jars, from the content repository. This could be done either from the admin console or with a CLI command.

rhusar Oct 14, 2013 8:47 AM (in response to dbschofield)Can you describe the use case?
Just to mention, archives that have been manually copied to /deployment directory remain in this location.

dbschofield Oct 14, 2013 9:52 AM (in response to rhusar)Can you describe the use case?
Occasionally, applications do not behave as expected in production. The application has been deployed via management client and uploaded to the content repository. The developer troubleshooting the problems on production requests a copy of the ear that is actually deployed so they can verify that it contains the correct code for production.
A download button on the deployments page of the management console would be useful along with a corresponding CLI download command.

jaikiran Oct 15, 2013 7:46 AM (in response to dbschofield)Ben, I think this question suits better in the developer mailing list wildfly-dev Info Page. Can you please create a discussion there and provide the relevant details?

7. Re: Download content?
dbschofield Oct 17, 2013 10:01 PM (in response to rhusar)Found the existing related JIRAs.
The first is from my evaluation of JBoss EAP 6 last year.
[WFLY-549] Give option to make the content repository browsable - JBoss Issue Tracker
The second is from Brian Stansberry recognizing the need to expose the repository content in a friendly way.
[WFLY-554] Operations to read content from the content repository - JBoss Issue Tracker
I guess if anyone comes across this thread needing the same thing please take the time to vote for the jira.
