Exception of install jboss tools offline

Hi all,

Because the limited by the given conditions, I can not install the jboss tools online.

When I try to install jboss offline, there is an exception threw when I install jboss tools offline.

I download the eclipse 4.2.2 from "http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/technology/epp/downloads/release/juno/SR2/eclipse-jee-juno-SR2-win32…" and download jboss tools from "http://sourceforge.net/projects/jboss/files/JBossTools/JBossTools4.0.x/jbosstools-4.0.1.Final.aggregate-Update-2013-03-2…". This is a zip files.

The step of installation is like this: open eclipse-->help-->Install New Software-->Add-->Archive, select the downloaded jboss tools zip file, clike next...

There is an exception occur:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.

  Software being installed: JBoss Maven GWT Configurator 1.4.0.Final-v20130326-2027-B145 (org.jboss.tools.maven.gwt.feature.feature.group 1.4.0.Final-v20130326-2027-B145)

  Missing requirement: JBoss Maven GWT Configurator 1.4.0.Final-v20130326-2027-B145 (org.jboss.tools.maven.gwt 1.4.0.Final-v20130326-2027-B145) requires 'bundle org.eclipse.m2e.core 1.0.0' but it could not be found

  Cannot satisfy dependency:

    From: JBoss Maven GWT Configurator 1.4.0.Final-v20130326-2027-B145 (org.jboss.tools.maven.gwt.feature.feature.group 1.4.0.Final-v20130326-2027-B145)

    To: org.jboss.tools.maven.gwt [1.4.0.Final-v20130326-2027-B145]

Can anyone help me?

Make sure you have eclipse m2e installed - should come included if you downloaded Eclipse JavaEE from eclipse.

Thank you. Could you give me the details?

When I install the jboss tools zip file, I found that it will update something online. I opened the network, the installation was OK. But in my work environment, I can't open the network, I am getting crazy now.

You can go and download JBoss Tools Target Platform for Eclipse Juno SR2. Be aware it is 623M and contains all JBoss Tools dependencies. Then when you install JBoss Tools offline without network access add JBoss Tools Update site and Target Platform in install dialog, make sure '[x] Contact all update sites during install to find required software' is selected.

You'll probably need to click 'Available Software Sites' link in upper right corner of Install dialog and disable all remote update sites to avoid errors.

You also can download Red Hat JBoss Developer Studio 6.0.1 for free after registration. It has an installer that works offline, it is based on the same Eclipse Juno SR2 (4.2.2) and includes JBoss Tools 4.0.1.Final (see details here).
