1. Re: What is the base JBoss-AS for Wildfly?
ctomc Nov 26, 2013 6:40 PM (in response to jfalek)WildFly is just renamed community version of JBoss AS.
And as such continues its versioning, if there was no rename there would be JBoss AS8 but after rename that is WildFly 8.
After 7.2.0 tag, codebase moved to 8 version and still continues as such, next release will be 8.0.0.CR1 which should be done shortly.
you can see the version bump in this commit Next is 8.0.0.Alpha1! · 111eca4 · wildfly/wildfly · GitHub

jfalek Nov 26, 2013 6:47 PM (in response to ctomc)That was very a helpful and very, very fast answer. Thank you.
One follow-on question - what is the estimated time frame for 8.0.0 final- 1Q14? 3Q14? We can only work with final versions and I want to plan accordingly.
Thank you again.

jfalek Nov 27, 2013 10:50 AM (in response to jaikiran)Thank you - all of this is really helpful. One more question - will there be (or is there now) a list of changes from JBoss 7.1.1 to WIldfly 8.0.0? If so, where should I look to find it?
