1. Re: Bug fixes for EAP 6.1.Alpha
jrantav Nov 27, 2013 8:58 AM (in response to jrantav)Note that building from sources is an option as well, but this version (AS7 with bug fixes) doesn't exist in the public repository, so you can't do even that.
Edit: ok, there exists ftp://ftp.redhat.com/redhat/jbeap/ with the sources, and Using a self build EAP binary in production referring to instructions on how that can be built. So it can be done.
Based on Re: Jboss 7.1.2.Final is only for EAP?, compiling it from the sources is the way to go and they won't be available in any other way.

rhusar Nov 27, 2013 8:49 AM (in response to jrantav)is there any way to get a version of AS7 with the bug fixes that were in EAP 6.1.1 without a paid subscription?
EAP 6.2.0 Beta contains all the fixes that EAP 6.1.1 contains (downloadable here Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform with the zero dollar subcription).
Just to mention, latest version can be also used without a paid subscription on Openshift (https://www.openshift.com/).

"these downloads are for development use only", so it's not allowed to be used in live for a community user, just for development. You're not allowed to use that in production if I've understood it correctly.

ctomc Nov 27, 2013 9:19 AM (in response to jrantav)1 of 1 people found this helpfulUpstream as in WildFly now, has moved to 8.0 versions and is nearing CR1.
All fixes that are part of EAP6.x are first done in upstream and then backported to EAP.
So you could do the same if you want. Take latest 7.2 code from github and start backporting commits from upstream.
This way you will end up with 7.2 + bugfixes that are already in 8 but without new features that came to 8, or whatever commits/fixes/features you choose to backport.
