Stopping hung threads using JMX console

Is there any way to stop hung threads using JMX console or any other tool?

Short answer: No!

You can't stop a Java thread from outside the thread itself. See: http://download.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/docs/guide/misc/threadPrimitiveDeprecation.html

You can't stop ,because the Jmx console gives the dynamic data from server Mbean and moreover it's read only data.

If you restarts the jboss server then the hung thread will disappear.
