1. Re: JBPM 6 loading KieBase from workbench?
jsvitak Dec 21, 2013 10:02 AM (in response to jjsaguit)1 of 1 people found this helpfulHi,
PKGs are deprecated in jBPM 6. Now it uses git to store projects and internal maven repository to store .jar packages (kjars). You may have to configure also kmodule.xml inside a kjar. For example to load a maven artifact (jar file specified by GroupId, ArtifactId and Version) use:
KieServices ks = KieServices.Factory.get();
KieContainer kContainer = ks.newKieContainer(ks.newReleaseId("org.mygroup", "myartefact", "1.0"));
KieSession kSession = kContainer.newKieSession("ksession1");Documentation sums up all new concepts: Chapter 25. Release Notes
Hope this helps,
Jiri

I too have been struggling to grok the new API, which is very powerful and up to now - very mysterious. It turns out it is quite well documented, but in the Drools docs (it is only briefly mentioned in the JBPM docs). Have a look at:
You will see Jiri's code snippet AND a detailed description on how to deploy, complete with example projects. I really could have used this a couple of weeks ago! I have to keep reminding myself to check the Drools docs as well as the JBPM docs.
