jboss maxThreads configuration

Hi i am new this community.I had problem with jboss-4.2.2 , server down when traffic was high. i found some solution in jboss docs as increasing the maxThreads value in sever.xml .

Is it work for me,if it is what is the max number i can increase? please help me .

Number of active threads depends on your system power.

As more threads as more resources you need (i.e. memory DB-connections)

You might increase/decrease the numbers a a bit and check the application behaviour.
