CPU Utility Percentage of RHQ Agent is about 8%

Dear RHQ team,

     We are using RHQ4.7.0 to monitor JBossAS5 and JBossAS7. Our UPJAS Agent runs on a Linux server which has 2 Core CPU and 4G memory, and monitors 2 JBossAS5 and 1 JBossAS7. As a result, the average CPU unitlity percentage is above 8%. The reason may be that we changed some metric collection interval to 1 minute.

     We are not sure it is a performance problem or not, could you give some advise? If you did some test of the agent performance, could you share the report, it will be great to analyze our problem.

If you have a lot of resources per server, the newer versions of the agent (4.8 or 4.9) use a lot less CPU. I'd take a look at them if you can upgrade.

     We customized many functions based on RHQ4.7.0. We don't plan to upgrade so far. Thanks for your suggestion all the same.
