1. Re: Crashing DB2 9.5 FP4 with Jboss 4.2.3GA and 5.1.0GA
peterj Nov 16, 2009 10:29 AM (in response to ejb3workshop)First, I know nothing about DB2. But with some of the other databases I have worked with, getting/setting blob values can be a pain. Often there is a buffer size setting within the database itself which limits the size of the blob that can be set. And at times there are settings in the JDBC driver that can limit this also. Digging through the DB2 docs or asking DB2 experts should get to the solution.

Write a stanalone java application which would make use of the DB2 driver , this will help you to identify if this is a DB2 issue or a issue within JCA layer(which is unlikely ).
google a bit to find how you can write DB2 code, following is informix specific one

Finally switch over mysql ;) -

ejb3workshop Nov 23, 2009 5:37 AM (in response to ejb3workshop)As it turns out this is a DB2 issue which IBM are currently looking into. I am still rather confused by nobody else is having this problem. Maybe there aren't many people using JBoss and DB2?
