Errai & existing GWT widgets like CellTable

Just starting out with Errai and trying to figure out how to migrate from a GWT/UIBinder/GWTBootstrap project to Errai. I can see the simple binding of HTML elements between HTML templates and Java code (like TextBox). However, how would I accomplish such a thing for a more complex GWT Widget like a CellTable and its corresponding dataprovider?

Haven't found anything specific after searching countless tutorials and examples

Hi Eric,

You can use your existing CellTable and data provider with Errai UI. For example you can add a div to your HTML template

...
<div id="table" data-field="table"></div>
...

and then use CellTable as the type of your @DataField (note that the data-field attribute in the template is optional in Errai 3):

@Templated
public class MyForm extends Composite {
  ...
  @DataField
  private  CellTable<Contact> table = new CellTable<Contact>();
  ...
}

In this way you should be able reuse your existing code.

Errai also provides its own custom mechanism for automatic binding of list data (which doesn't use GWT's CellTable):
