is cli authentication via commandline working?

Sorry if I'm fumbling with the cli syntax a bit, but I can't find a variation (with or without dashes, = vs space etc) that lets me do something like

./jboss-cli.sh --connect controller=kisrael-palettes-fas.cafex.com --username=USER --password=PASS -c "ls"

Most of these tell me Duplicate argument '--command'/'--commands' -- even if I leave out the -c to go into command mode.

What if you try .... --command="ls"

The think is the missing command in your case.

This commands should work

    jboss-cli.sh --connect --controller=kisrael-palettes-fas.cafex.com --user=USER --password=PASS --command="ls"

    jboss-cli.sh --connect --controller=kisrael-palettes-fas.cafex.com --user=USER --password=PASS "ls"

might be depend on the used JBoss version
