How to add sub domain in Jboss 5.1.0.GA

Hi all,

I am very new to jboss and i want to learn much about it since im appointed to move jboss from windows to linux.

I have jboss 5.1.0.GA running on centos 6.5 with jdk1.6.0_33. I want to configure sub-domains for my war folders.

Ex. http://localhost:8080/test needs to be accessed as http://test.localhost:8080

I have searched a lot but i couldnt find any working solution. I really appreciate any help on this.

I suggest to use Apache as front-end

This configurations are easy and you can resolve also problems of security

Step-1: Add a virtual host your application.war/WEB-INF/jboss-web.xml.

Step-2: Add Host Entry in JBOSS/server/profile/deploy/jbossweb.sar/server.xml. And add subdomain in <Alias> tag.

Thats it!!!

Still couldn't get this done

My one.war is located in /usr/local/jboss-5.1.0.GA/server/default/deploy/

I have jboss-web.xml in /usr/local/jboss-5.1.0.GA/server/default/deploy/one.war/WEB-INF/

I have copied the value part from the part listed above of the file.

I can access the one.war by http://genesiis.test/one i need to access the war by http://1.genesiis.test

What have i missed.?
