Gradle fails to parse a org.hornetq:hornetq-native:2.4.0.Final pom

According to the Gradle team, the HornetQ 2.4.x POMs are using a discouraged configuration. Can the configuration be reverted to the 2.3.x POM structure which is Gradle compatible?

"Publishing POMs that haven't had their profiles resolved is heavily discouraged, even by the Maven (Central) folks. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of a way to use such POMs from Gradle. If you have an internal repository, the best solution is to fix up the POM there."

the native-package-type is used to build it jar on windows, or nar on linux.

if I set it literally it will always build the native packages that's not used on widows.

As I said... The issue is that the native package is only built on Linux... on Windows it should only package it hence nar on linux, or jar on windows / mac...

How can I test this after I make changes?

You can test using gradle as follows:

1: source gradle from gradle.org

2: create the following following build.gradle file in ../hornetq-HornetQ_2_4_0_Final/examples/core/twitter-connector

    apply plugin: 'java'

    repositories {

      mavenCentral()

    //  maven {

    //    url "http://repo.mycompany.com/maven2"

    //  }

    //  maven {

    //    url "../local-repo"

    // }

    }

    dependencies {

    //  compile 'org.hornetq:hornetq-core-client:2.3.5.Final'

      compile 'org.hornetq:hornetq-core-client:2.4.0.Final'

    }    

3: in ../hornetq-HornetQ_2_4_0_Final/examples/core/twitter-connector, execute "gradle build". This should generate the error above. If you change the dependency to 2.3.5 the twitter connector should compile without issue.
