Hi Mauricio,

thx for your reply. I extended the dependencies section starting at line 50 in the of the pom.xml in the workitems-project as follows:

<groupId>javax.jws</groupId>

</dependency>

<artifactId>jaxws-rt</artifactId>

</dependency>

<groupId>javax.xml</groupId>

<artifactId>webservices-api</artifactId>

<scope>runtime</scope>

</dependency>

No changes though... Will continue trying but would be really thankful for any hint...

That's really annoying..

One more suggestion will be to try in a different machine.. to see if it just an issue with your current machine...

Which Operating System are you using?

Annoying is the most gentil word to describe that... This is the only machine around with full admin rights etc. Windows 8.1 might be a problem though... I really need to get this working here.

The positioning of the additional dependencies is correct, right?

Hello Mauricio,

I just went back to the original pom.xml as provided by the github-repository. I tried all suggestions proposed in https://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=157460 - but nothing works. You do compile the pom-xml in Eclipse, right? Converting the project to a Java/Maven/jBPM project doesn't change anything.

Short update from my side:

I changed the following section in the pom.xml (changed the version from 2.3 to 2.2)

The NoClassDef error disappeared, now the build script behaves like this:

Are you behind a proxy or something like that?

Can you access using your browser to: http://www.predic8.com:8080/crm/CustomerService ??

Maybe a windows firewall that is bothering you and it could be related to the 8080 port?

The connection refused error is the problem I believe.. it's nothing to do with jbpm it self.

I can't believe it - BUILD SUCCESSFUL. Finally, several issue have been solved. A change of the aforementioned reference from version 2.3 to 2.2 led to less cryptic error messages.

- JAVA_HOME environment variable updated containing ...PROGRA~1...

- JRE reference in Eclipse updated from standalone folder to jdk\jre

- Used a direct connection instead of a proxy-based connection

- Finally, changed jaxws-maven-plugin version back to 2.3

=> Build successful

Mauricio, thank you very much for your support. I really appreciate it and hope to participate in the jBPM community =)

But first I will continue with the customer relationship example.

The process works now. I still have to verify that the communication with the external service works.

Yet I noticed something. In your description, you mentioned the following:

"In order to do that you just copy the customer-services-workitems-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar into the WEB-INF/lib directory of the kie-wb.war app."

When I look at the deployments of the JBoss server, there are only two war-archives, which are dashboard-builder.war and jbpm-console.war. I added the workitems jar-file and the amendments to CustomWorkItemHandlers.conf in the jbpm-console.war and it seems to work. Maybe the naming changed?

Have to look at the unit tests now. Is it just executing the pom.xml?

When executing the pom.xml of the customer-relationships-test project,I first had to insert the current version of the artifact jbpm-shared-services.

When executing the pom afterwards, die following error arises:

Hi Marc,

the version seems wrong.. that can be causing a lot of issues with duplicated jars with different version which can end up in the error that you pasted here.

Try with 6.1.0-SNAPSHOT, but shouldn't need that at all. was maven complaining about the lack of that dependency?

I checked the repository - the requested files seem to be there. To exclude any other issues, I checked out the repository again, deployed the custom work item handlers, regeistered them in the conf file and so on. All worked without errors.

Does anyone have an idea why Maven doesn't recognize the artifact jbpm-shared-services?
