How to run the human tasks using the persistence method without using human task server

Hullo guys, Iam quite new in JBPM and i was looking for a way of using jbpm processes in my system, I have been able to create custom service tasks like email which work really well, however the human task work item simply won't run. All the other methods discussed online are either using HornetQ.. Can one really run a human task without any of those servers or, with a required persistence configuration can one replicate the human task servers within my application..

You can run the task service locally (no mina or hornetq). But it will require persistence to store the state of the tasks, if not you will loose it, and if the server restart you will end up in strange situations. Take a look at the docs for the RuntimeManager in jBPM 6, to see how it is all automatically configured for you.

I have tried using a persistent taskservice with some challenges iam going through... most of them being around org.hibernate.exception.DataException: could not update: [org.jbpm.persistence.processinstance.ProcessInstanceInfo#11]

What could be the problem

With that little information is really difficult to help. You will need to elaborate more and show the complete stack trace of the error for us to be able to help. You also need to specify your configurations and which version of jBPM are you using.
