Upgrade the 'application' from JDG 6.1 to 6.2?

I am a newbie to JDG and have the following question, keeping in mind that we have a application in JDG 6.1 using replication,:

1)  How to move from replication to distribution, what configuration changes are required and

2) what steps needs to be taken to upgrade the 'application' from JDG 6.1 to 6.2?

JDG 6.2 is backward compatible with 6.1 so you are not required to do anything to upgrade.
