I'm curious if this is something in the works, or even makes sense.
I am excited about the runtime governance coming, but there are lot of existing services that will not benefit from that runtime governance.
Question: would it make sense to add proxy support for FTP/FTPS/SFTP servers, CMIS servers (alfresco for example), and other similar systems to allow the traffic/throughput to be managed by the ESB and monitored by the ESB?
(example: connect to an SFTP server through the ESB, but all commands/usage are as if on that remote SFTP server directly. The ESB could provide a constant Endpoint, then change underlying SFTP servers if needed while providing monitoring)
